Sue Westwell stood in for our regular accompanist Liz Sidebotham at our Community Hall concert in April, our first of the year. Photo above: Janet James. Sue has now been appointed choir accompanist following the sad death of our much-loved Liz.

We were also honoured to perform at the memorial service for Sir Richard Carew-Pole in Truro Cathedral on May 8.

Sir Tremaye Carew-Pole, the fourteenth baronet, turned up for our concert on the Cleave, with his mother, Lady Mary. Afterwards he joined Halfway Harmony for a rousing evening in the village hostelry. Photo (above): Sue Webb

JUNE 1, St Andrew’s Church, Plymouth.

A spectacular joint concert with Tamar Concert Choir, also under the wing of our musical director Jonathan Lewsey. The marvellous acoustic of this splendid church seemed to draw out the best from both choirs.
